Every time I am out on the pickleball courts – whether in Margate, NJ, Livingston, NJ or Delray Beach, FL – I see people using many kinds of pickleball paddles. You look around at the paddles and almost everyone has a different brand or style paddle. You don’t see many wood pickleball paddles, that’s true; yet you do see some cheap pickleball paddles that are not helping anyone’s game. Most, though, are made of graphite or composites and are actually very well-made with characteristics that can be advantageous for most players. Different strokes for different folks!

So I wondered what are the top selling pickleball paddles? There are a few websites boasting that they know the answer to this question, but when you actually look at their sites you quickly realize they are at best guessing or at worst just promoting their own brands.

So I decided to search Amazon to see their top selling pickleball paddles because I think this might be the best way to determine the top-selling paddles in general. The information, by the way, is easy to find. In this Review of the 10 Best Selling Pickleball Paddles on Amazon I highlight the specifications and playing features of these paddles.

I believe when you look over the list from Amazon you can tell a lot about who is buying the majority of pickleball paddles right now. The common denominator is surely the beginner or intermediate player, not the advanced or professional. This of course is not surprising because pickleball has gained in popularity so quickly over the past few years you have more people taking up the game, or moving up to a “mid-level” paddle from a “beginner” paddle, than you do seasoned players at the top of their game.

The most expensive single paddle on the list is the Onix Z5, which starts at $59.99, and the least expensive paddle is the Amazin’ Ace’s wood paddle bundle at $24.99. The Onix Z5 is a good beginner or intermediate paddle, don’t get me wrong. but the Amazin Ace’s, well, not so good. I wonder who is buying this because I never see anyone using it.

In a previous article I reviewed paddles in the $40 to $50 range for beginners. I hope you find these reviews helpful. I plan to look closely at another group of paddles $147.99 and up to learn why they are so expensive and whether they are worth the money.

I would love to hear from you so please leave a comment below…anything to do with pickleball paddles or pickleball in general.
