The widespread popularity of pickleball is evident from coast to coast but no more so than the villages of Florida. It truly is pickleball paradise with over 100 courts and thousands of players.

Welcome pickleball enthusiasts!

As I mentioned on the home page, my name is Bob. I’m 70 years old and live in a 55 and older community in Delray Beach, Florida. I’m married and have two children and six grandchildren. I’ve had two careers in my life: First, I owned a health food manufacturing company for 30+ years; second, I owned an Internet company for 22 years until I retired in May, 2018.I have always been passionate about racquet sports from Ping-Pong to paddle tennis to tennis and more recently pickleball, which I began playing in 2014, and which is now my go-to sport.

In our community we play pickleball nearly every day. We even have a competitive team that plays other 55 and older communities in the area. It’s a lot of fun.

about Robet Savar
Writing about pickleball

I’ve always been a writer. Back in the day…I taught expository writing in college and loved both literature and writing. I received my Masters in English and finished all my course work and exams for the Ph.D. program but never quite finished to get my degree. So when I retired, having been an entrepreneur my whole life in the business world, I decided to marry my two passions – pickleball and writing – and start a website on pickleball.

I hope you enjoy this website

Regardless of whether you’re a beginner or an advanced pickleball player, hopefully there is enough information in this site to hold your attention, and you’ll benefit from my hours of researching and writing about the sport. Even if you’re a beginner you have to appreciate the importance of strategy in pickleball play, and if you’re an advanced player, well, I don’t have to tell you.

So enjoy the site and feel free to send me out an email or fill out the form on our Contact page.

Regards,
Bob Savar
